So how come the Tea Party Republicans aren't screaming to eliminate tax breaks big oil gets?  Dosen't it seem like they should be all over this issue? Seems to me big oil with its record profits hardly needs any tax breaks.  They rant a rave about reducing benefits for the aged and handicapped. Well reducing spending is only half the budget equation. Too many big corporations, GE for example, hide large portions of their income in offshore subsideries and avoid their fair share. Time to throw away the IRS and the current tax codes.

Time to throw away the IRS and the current tax codes. Set up flat rates for both individuals and companies as a percentage of gross income. No tax breaks, subsidies or itemizations. Period. So come on Tea Party. Show some real initiative! Do both. Cut spending and collect taxes from everybody on a fair basis. No special deals for the lobbyists and their patrons.
