Bio

I was diagnosed with a melanoma on my chest way back in 1997. A wide excision followed, but in February 2000, the melanoma was found in a lymph node in my left axilla. Rather than do the chemo route, I enrolled in a vaccine trial run by Dr. David Berd from Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. I was cancer free for 12 years! But in February 2012, I developed a pain in my abdomen, and it was diagnosed as malignant melanoma, after 12 years! So I am at Stage 4 but determined to overcome this disease one more time!
I have completed Zelboraf and I have my fourth and final Yervoy infusion on Feb 19, 2013.
