Initially diagnosed in May, 2010 after I went to my derm about a suspicious mole on my right thigh. Biopsy revealed melanoma, 0.9mm depth but had clear margins. Wide local excision performed with no sign of mel. July 2011 I discovered a lump in my right groin. Originally diagnosed as strained tendon. When it didn’t heal after a few weeks, I went in for an ultrasound which verified it was a swollen lymph node. Ultrasound guided needle biopsy was performed on 8/18. Results confirmed malignant melanoma. Planning to treat at UC Irvine.
