        Bruce,

I have just recently completed the TIL cell therapy at the NIH. It is too early, yet, to tell if I am one of the lucky ones, but we are hoping and praying for NED.

I believe in this therapy and in the Dr.s at the NIH. The treatment was first class. The medical team, including MD's, nurses, nutritionists, chaplains, and everyone else, were very attentive and helpful.

They initially removed a tumor from my liver and harvested TIL cells from that tumor. They then grew TIL cells in the lab over the next few weeks. I went back in the hospital on 5/25/11 and they started chemotherapy to reduce my white blood cell count. One week later, they infused more than 34 BILLION TIL cells back into my body! They also gave me seven doses of IL-2 along with the TIL cells.

The research I am in is comparing the effectiveness of chemotherapy alone versus chemotherapy + total body radiation before receiving the TIL cells. I was in the arm of chemotherapy alone.

Good luck to you, and I hope you get into a study at NIH. They have been the best for me.
